Office of Research Compliance
The Office of Research Compliance (ORC) reports to the Vice Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School and is directed by Dr. Ilze Krisst, Assistant Vice Provost for Research and Director of Research Compliance. The administrative functions of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), the Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC), and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) report to Dr. Krisst. She is also an ex officio member of the Conflict of Interest in Research Committee (COI) and serves as its staff. The Director of Research Compliance is also the designated individual to receive allegations of research misconduct.
In addition, the administrative function for the faculty consulting process is also seated in the Office of Research Compliance and is directed by Dr. Krisst.
The Office of Embryonic Stem Cell Research Oversight reports to the Vice Provost for Reseach and Dean of the Graduate School (Storrs) and to the Dean of Academic Affairs and Education (UCHC).
